It is compatible with many other heat mats. It works great for controlling plant or pet heat mat temperature. Programming: 1. To display in celsius, Please Press and Hold “DOWN” button for 3 seconds. Press and Hold “UP” button for 3 seconds to display temperature in Fahrenheit. 2. To adjust the temperature setting, Press and Hold “SET” button for 3 seconds to enter the temperature selection mode. Press the ” UP” or “DOWN” button to adjust the temperature that you want to set. Then Press “SET” button again. So the setting temperature is done. Press “SET” button to display the preset temperature. When the unit is plugged into an electrical outlet, the “POWER” LED becomes lit, the heat on only when the “HEATING” LED is lighted. When the preset temperature is reached, the “HEATING” LED will turn off and there is no power to the heat mat. ATTENTION: If the thermostat remains “ON” ( delivering power to the heat mat) for more than 5 consecutive hours, it indicates the desired temperature is not being reached. To achieve higher temperature the Mat may need to be placed on a more insulated surface. Covering the seedling tray with a humidity dome will also help heat retention. Do not Immerse controller or probe into water. Do not exceed a total of 1000 watts of heating devices plugged into thermostat.

1 week and keeps giving error code. Ive had this product for a week and i use it for my big snake. It wont heat all the way up to the desired temp and now it keeps giving the error code. This is very frustrating because my animals depend on that heat and if it cant keep it there it will kill my snakes. Good News/Bad News The thermostat is supposed to turn off if the temperature reaches a certain point. I set my thermostat at 84 degrees. However, within the first two days, the temperature reached 86 degrees on the digital readout, and the unit did not turn itself off. However, the temperature has never gotten above 86 degrees, so I have kept it since the unit does read the temperature and it hasn’t gotten too hot (my snake lives at temps between 75 and 85 degrees).UPDATE: The seller sent me what…
On/off spec is 2 degrees. bought 3 of these. all working great after two months, no issues. Controls the temp of our heat tape well. there is a 2 degree on off delay for those wondering. We have ours set at 92, so it kicks off at 92.1, then restarts at 89.9. Just an fyi for those who couldn’t find that spec. I.e., it will kick on when temp sensed is 2 degrees below set temp. Give me a like if that was the spec you were curious about so that I know I at least helped someone
