Have to cut screen to use clips Product seems very well made and sturdy but to my knowledge there arent any “clips” that will hold it down without modification. Im fairly certain i could cut the screen and the “standard” clips would work; however, why would a company sell a product you need to modify? I bought this product for a tarantula tank. Obviously since then I’ve realized i need to change my objective and honestly cant use this at all. So to help you guys decide, the only issue with this lid is that you can not secure…

The small break in the screen is great for getting the critter out without having to worry … We bought this to replace a previous one that we had. The small break in the screen is great for getting the critter out without having to worry about it jumping/climbing out! The reason this gets three stars is that the first iteration we got, the latch for the door in the lid broke after less than a year (when it wasn’t even in continuous use as we upgraded our first corn snake to a larger tank and then eventually got a new corn snake for the small tank… because that’s how this is supposed…

Not for small feeder insects, but great for everything else! I got this to keep small feeder insects in their tank, but still be able to feed them easily. Somehow the crafty little buggars still get out… My next idea is to sew a wire screen mesh on the inside, to help contain the tinier critters. Otherwise, it’s been a great lid. Just be ready to do some extra work if you’re trying to contain pinhead crickets, or baby madagascar hissing roaches. It’s perfect, and more than adequate for everything else.
