Not very accurate I got this for my ball python’s terrarium. It works well enough for my use as my animal can handle a bit of fluctuation and is rather hardy. However, I would not recommend this for any animals which require strict humidity ranges. While it does give me an idea and I don’t have another hygrometer with which to compare it, it seems like it often reads low. Sometimes it will read 30-40%, but when I put my hand in the terrarium, the air is noticeably humid and feels like a Florida swamp.

Excellent for incubating eggs I wanted a hygrometer to measure humidity inside a Brinsea Octagon 20 ECO poultry incubator. I don’t need super accurate measurements; +/- 5% is fine for me, so I did not make any effort to calibrate it. I checked it against two other digital weather stations and it was within 1% of each. What I needed was a small enough sensor to fit inside, ideally with a remote readout, so it would not be necessary to open the incubator in order to read the measurement. Initially I had hoped it…

Good This hygrometer is excellent! My only complaint would be to watch out for excessive moisture as too much on the probe could throw humidity readings off. I’m also not sure if it’s waterproof or not but I try not to directly spray it when I mist down my ball python’s enclosure just in case.
