Greedy, Greedy! Item use to be around $20 and was a great deal. Now, this price is just crazy. It went from the cheapest to the most expensive. It wasn’t the best quality product but at the price it was fair. Now, the quality is horrible for the price.9/29/17 – Update. Refer to the replies below. It seems the manufacturer is not to blame for the increase but Amazon is. Please look at the companies website to receive this item for the old, great price.

Best Deal on All Peanuts Bird Food I’ve been getting the Lyric Peanut Pieces Wild Bird Food, 15 lb bag for some time now and have found three things – birds love them, there is nothing but peanuts in the bag, and the price-per-pound has yet to be beat. I get several varieties of visitors per day chowing down. Even the mourning doves land on the feeder to add protein and fat to their diet. Expensive Crumbly Peanuts I purchased the 15 pound bag the end of June for $23.99. I’ve been paying this for a number of months. In August they went up to $34.12. This last bag I received the peanuts are crumbling apart into nothing. Before this bag I never had a problem with the peanuts, the birds and squirrels loved them. Now in the beginning of September they are at $46.28. I will no longer be able to feed the peanut (crumbs) to the critters outside since the price has more then doubled in 2 months!
