African Sulcata Tortoise loves it This is a great tortoise food supplement. I buy it for my four-year-old African Sulcata tortoise and he’s done very well on it. I would advise buyers, though, to give it only as a supplement to a main diet of grass. It’s so nutrient rich that severe pyramiding of the shell can occur if you feed this food alone. But the taste is great and my tortoise goes wild (as wild as a tortoise can go) over this stuff. It’s the equivalent of giving a dog bacon. Great food supplement in the winter…
We’re going to need a bigger dish. Outstanding. My red foot tortoise goes for his ‘fruity pebbles’ before any real fruits and veggies (hes such a little piggy!) so it was nice to find this jumbo container available on amazon. My tortoise has always eaten this. We’ve had him for 3 years and he’s more than quadrupled in size! I swear its this food! His shell is very healthy and his color looks really good. We just got him the zoo med ramp bowl which he loves. Now I think I need to find him a bigger feeding dish!
Just as Expected. The product is exactly as I expected and available at a better price than the local store that had to order it specially. I have used this product for many years and is an excellent source of food for tortoises. My tortoises eat it readily and from what I know, the nutritional content is what they need. They have thrived on it. Amazon will be my regular supplier from now on.
