Works great! I use it for my indoor plants! I purchased this lamp to use on my indoor plants, since we don’t get much natural light in the house. We spray painted the outside so that it was a little more fashion forward. I also purchased a grow light to use with it and it works great. The clamp was an amazing plus because we were able to hang it from the ceiling. I have absolutely no complaints and plan on purchasing more!
Canât expect more! This thing does the job! This is neither a luxury nor heavy-duty reflector, but I can’t expect more for the price and the design purpose. The reflector is made of an alloy that (is weak but) can disperse the heat very well. There are holes to let the hot air out as well. The switch works great, and the clamp is strong enough to hold the (light) weight of the head.
Inexpensive solution The clamp will not support the light head at an angle if you use a heavier or larger CFL bulb. The best position for these is vertical. Mine came dinged and banged up without proper packaging. There were several stickers on them which were crossed out with black marker. Really people, you couldn’t just take off the stickers because you were too lazy and decided to cross out with a black market instead. Yes they do warm up a bit, yes they do smell a bit when warm but they get the job done…
