Great product!!! I want to first say that Iâm new to the bearded dragon thing I had a white light that was not producing enough Heat. I bought a red light was still not producing enough heat for my 20 gallon tank we stayed around 80° at the hottest. I put this light in and after figuring out that it was working because I did not read what I was buying and I did not realize that it does not produce an actual light I found out that within five minutes the cage was already up to 90°! my son can sleep at night now…
Baby chickens are content and comfortable! Used since a day for chick brooder along with a brooder lamp reflector with clamp sold on Amazon. Great to have the thermometer – easy to figure out the distance the lamp should be from the new born baby birds to keep the air temperature right.Currently using it about 1.5 feet away from bottom of brooder to get a 90F temperature in the brooder. Baby birds seem very content and eat and nap alternately!Not sure if this would work with a dimmer for reducing heat, otherwise…
Great heat lamp I use this to heat my hedgehog cage since he needs heat but does not need any light. I was very pleased that this one came with a thermometer. It seems to be very accurate and the bulb heats very quickly. I use it together with a thermostat so as not to overheat the cage. This also was listed at a great price – the similar ones I found at Petco were around $40. I have had no issues so far and will purchase again when needed.
