Yep, it’s big. A week back, my nearly 3 year old Fluker’s clamp lamp I bought when I bought my bearded dragon stopped working. I realized this after it blew a pretty new 75w incandescent spot lamp bulb and the brand new one that replaced it. I took this as a chance to try out a mercury vapor bulb, which would require a deep dome fixture. I’ve been using the Zoo-Med Mini Deep Dome over the past 1.5 years with a heat lamp bulb and a CFL UVB bulb for a red-eared slider turtle with good results, so I figured…
NOT FOR USE WITH CERAMIC HEAT EMITTERS Product looks sturdy but it arrived jangling loose in its box inside another box. Not comforting when dealing with electronic connections that could start fire. I am enclosing a photo of the Safety Info on the box in case your Amazon thumbnails show up as blurry as mine, because I completely missed the fourth bullet that says it canât be used with a ceramic heat emitter. THIS WOULD BE REALLY GOOD INFO TO INCLUDE IN THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION. Waiting for info to return it.
Keeps my beardie happy One of the best products you can buy for your little pets. You can put a different type of bulb in each side of the dome, using both at the same time or just one at a time. Most put a basking heat bulb in one side and a UVB bulb in the other side or sometimes a night bulb (but i personally do not use night bulbs). This deep dome keeps my bearded dragon Behjan happy and healthy. And when they are happy you are happy!
