Heat bulbs / heat lamps are perfect for a wide variety of reptiles and amphibians, including hermit crabs, bearded dragons, tortoises, turtles, geckos, snakes (pythons, boas, etc.), iguanas, lizards, chameleons, frogs, toads, uromastyx, chuckwallas, monitors, tegus, etc. Our 75 watt heat bulb is also great for cats and dogs that live outdoors but require heat at night, as well as an array of birds (chicks, chickens, ducks, parrots, cockatiels, etc.), and many other animals. Instructions included to ensure optimal results. Reptile lights / infrared heat lamps are compatible with a variety of enclosures, including vivariums, tanks, cages, terrariums, vision cages, aquariums, reptariums, plastic/PVC/acrylic/glass cages, outdoor enclosures and hatcheries.   • IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS: To ensure the safety of you and your animal when using this (and any other) specialty lightbulb by preventing blowout: A) Use a good quality socket where the metal lead comes in full contact with the base of the bulb (a gap can cause power to arc). B) Plug the socket/fixture into a surge protector before plugging into the wall. C) Handle bulb carefully – do not get hand oil on the metal of the bulb. Scary exploding bulbs I’ve never written a bad review but these bulbs make me nervous for other potential users. I purchased the “often purchased together” bulbs listed with the fixture I have for my turtle tank. Within an hour the first one busted and a small flame occurred. I replaced with the other bulb in the set and relocated the light. It lasted about 3 hours and then I heard a pop and saw a small flame again. I like the size and heat emitted but seriously I can not recommend these lights if you won’t be…

… second set I’ve bought and the issues are even worse. The first set we bought a few months … This is the second set I’ve bought and the issues are even worse. The first set we bought a few months ago and the bulbs burnt out within a couple of months. We thought to buy another set thinking maybe those were faulty and these were worse! We had the first bulb in for about a week when the bulb shattered and sent glass flying everywhere. I sent a message to the seller and they have yet to respond so the remaining bulb is being sent back, we won’t be taking more chances.

Great when working, Both bulbs burned out within a month Purchased these lights for use in two of my reptile tanks and they lasted less than a month for both of them. They seem to have burned out super quick and just stopped working out of the blue. I definitely didn’t get anywhere near the time that I should have using these. My typical day I had the lights on approximately 6 to 8 hours and then I would turn them off. The light bulbs were placed in light fixtures that were hanging affixed with clips so they weren’t being touched or moved to cause…
