Update to Review- Started smoking and filled our Crabitat with fumes/smoke. We got this for our 20H gallon hermit crabitat. It fits perfectly, and does a wonderful job keeping that humidity in. Hermit Crabs can’t breathe without proper humidity.Update: Feb 13, 2018. We just go this in December 2017 ( about 2 months old) and yesterday it started smoking. It filled our crabitat with smoke and fumes (our house too). Our crabs are all okay, because we happened to be home. We acted fast, unplugged it and got it outside. It scares me to think what might…
Best Terrarium Hood There Is I love this hood, my bearded dragon is way more active and is eating again. Before I got this hood he was just sitting around and not eating. But now he is alert at all times and full of color again. On a side note: the bulb it came with was not for bearded dragons, it was rated for tropical reptiles (5.0 UVB) so I had to buy the desert reptiles (10.0 UVB) bulb, but that is a small price to pay to make my bearded dragon happy.
This product was delivered on time. The hood and … This product was delivered on time. The hood and lamp worked originally but within a week or two the light would flicker off. There appears to be a short in the hood. If I would wiggle the light it would come back on, but within 5-10 minutes it would go off again. I attempted to contact the seller to return the hood and get a new one but never received a message back. This is my 2nd purchase of a hood. The first hood/light did not work at all so I had to return it.
